Klarna
Communication and Film production
Background: Klarna is establishing its unique payment solutions in new markets while growing very quickly in existing markets. Klarna faces the challenge of hiring a large number of new people in a short period of time. They want to attract more top candidates to apply for the positions and thereby increase the skills within Klarna.
Objective: We will attract more candidates by producing films that give you a picture of what it is like to work at Klarna. The starting point for the films must be inspiring people within the company whom we interview and follow for a day at work. In order to reach out widely with the films, our candidates must be employed in different markets, have different positions within the company and live very different lives.
The films must be everything else is ordinary and "corporate".
Creative solution: We are developing a format inspired by the classic YouTube trend "follow me around for a day" story. But, instead of doing traditional staff stories, we want to give a deeper picture of what it's like to be employed at Klarna. We believe that you do this by not only focusing on what a working day looks like, we want to focus instead on how our participants balance work life and leisure time overall.
We create three individual films that take place in Stockholm, Berlin and Madrid respectively. Our characters' personalities all shine through in different ways. The end result is a rawer documentary and an almost "homemade" feeling, more revealing and honest than what we are used to seeing but straight through with high quality production. The films are shown on social media all over the world and the applications are pouring in.
